As Principal and Founder, Kenny Landgraf started Kenjol Capital Management in 2001 and has grown the company to nearly $60M in assets under management in nine years. Under Kenny’s leadership, the firm focuses on providing active wealth management strategies to high net-worth clients. Kenny serves as the firm’s President and Chief Investment Officer, overseeing the firm’s internal investment programs. As a Kenjol spokesperson, Kenny has appeared on CNBC and has been interviewed and quoted by national media including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Radio, TheStreet.com, CNNMoney.com, and SmartMoney magazine. Kenny is also a charter member of Kingdom Advisors (www.kingdomadvisors.org).
Previously, Kenny was the vice president and a minority owner at Capital Cities Asset Management, where he was instrumental in growing the firm’s assets from $7M in 1995 to almost $120M in assets under management by spring 2001. With his strong background in technology, Kenny played a key role in developing and implementing the firm’s operational infrastructure. In addition, he acted as the liaison to major financial institutions and to the firm’s over 300 family groups. Prior to Capital Cities, Kenny held senior software development positions with several Fortune 500 companies including Pennzoil and Tenneco Gas (now El Paso).
Kenny attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville on an athletic scholarship, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree with High Honors in Business Administration. While there, he developed an interest in the wealth management field as a result of his studies and his mentor relationships with active investors. He began investing personally in the mid-80’s and became especially interested in dynamic strategies using sector funds, which are still a part of his investment strategy today.
Outside of Kenjol, Kenny enjoys spending time outdoors and hobbies include snow skiing and boating on Lake Travis. A favorite recent trip involved skiing in Whistler and he also enjoys traveling to Santa Monica, San Francisco and the British Virgin Islands. Kenny is an active member of Lake Hills Church in Austin.
